About the Institute
The World Engagement Institute (WEI or WEInstitute) is a non-profit, multidisciplinary and academically-based non-governmental organization with a unique and diverse set of capabilities. WEInstitute's mission is to facilitate capable and professional global engagements for international sustainable development and poverty reduction.
Subject Matter Experts Organization
Each of WEInstitute's multidisciplinary senior staff has at least 30 years’ experience designing, funding and implementing rule of law, institutional development and human rights projects throughout the world. WEInstitute's senior staff have a special regional focus on South and Southeast Asia, Latin America and the Arab and Muslim World. Drawing on academics, professionals and operators, WEInstitute is also linked to a large network of subject matter experts concentrating on legal and judicial capacity-building, human rights development, economics, social policy, technology, local and regional society enhancement, and culture.

The WEInstitute is an international nongovernmental organization (INGO) and not-for-profit corporation registered in the State of Illinois as a charitable organization.
